Good nutrition in the early years is vital. Children’s early experiences of food play is an important part in shaping later eating habits, and good eating habits support healthy growth and development. Giving positive messages about baby food during weaning and beyond reinforces the importance of a good diet for the whole family.

A bit of background about me - I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Registration in Dietetics. After gaining three years clinical experience at St. Thomas' Hospital in London and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, I entered the world of academic research at the University of Oxford and the Institute of Food Research in Norwich where I gained my PhD in human nutrition. As a mum to Daniel and Jacob, I really understand the importance of making sure little ones get all the nutritional goodness they need.
