Yes. There are nearly 3000 chemicals in our food chain. Conventional farming uses a cocktail of chemicals to kill weeds and insects in order to meet tough expectations demanded by our supermarkets. A regular eating apple may be sprayed 16 times with 36 pesticides before it reaches your fruit bowl.

Children are much more susceptible to toxic residues than adults purely because they have a larger intake of food and water per unit of body weight. The long-term effects of these chemicals on our children is beginning to unravel and research indicates that chemicals may be contributing to our children's learning disabilities and depression.
