Junior Technical Assistant / Technical Administrator (Helps Makes Stuff Safe)

Location:                      Henley-on-Thames


Reports to:                   Technical Manager (Makes Stuff Safe)


Contract:                       Full time, 40 hours (Monday to Friday)


To support the Quality team with completion of technical documentation, internal product testing, customer complaint investigations, export requirements and legal sign off of artwork. 

Role activities / responsibilities:

  • Manage completion of customer complaint investigations
  • Analysis of customer complaint data (including weekly and monthly reporting)
  • Manage artwork process and timings (UK and International) – with internal team, repro house and printers
  • Assistance with specification approval and completion (raw material and finished product)
  • Collation of technical and marketing information required for generation of artwork
  • Liaise with Trading Standards for artwork approval
  • Liaise with organic certifier for product approval
  • Support with annual Organic audit
  • Investigation into export requirements of new countries
  • Completion of documentation for exporting
  • Collation of samples for Consumer Relevant Quality panels
  • Help with internal analytical testing when required
  • Maintenance of the Ella’s Customer Care System
  • Completion of traceability testing programme
  • Cover for internal taste panels
  • Invoice processing for repro company


You will need: 

  • A degree in Food Science / Technology or Biology
  • Strong MS office skills e.g. excel, PowerPoint, word
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • To be self-motivated
