Change is coming

At Ella's we put little ones at the heart of everything we do and sometimes this means making changes to our existing products. We understand this can upset little + bigger ones who love our products just the way they are, but we never make these decisions lightly + we always always try and do what’s best for little ones.

we’re making our packaging even clearer for grown-ups

From January 2026, you’ll start to see some changes to our 6 month products, things like new wording and updated designs. We’re working on these changes as part of our move from 4 to 6 month product labelling.

Why we're updating our packaging? We want to make it super easy for grown-ups to understand exactly what’s in our pouches, and to help you feel even more confident when picking food for your little ones.

What’s not changing is our commitment to using simple, naturally tasty, organic ingredients, never adding sugar or salt where it’s not needed, and always doing what’s right for tiny tummies.

We’re updating our weaning labelling to 6 Months+

From January 2026, we’ll be updating our product labels to reflect NHS guidance, which recommends introducing solid foods from around 6 months of age.

Why we're changing ? We’ve always followed strict EFSA safety standards, meaning our recipes are completely safe and suitable for babies from 4 months. That hasn’t changed.

However, we know most UK parents look to NHS guidance when deciding the right time to start weaning. So, as a UK brand, we wanted to make things simpler and clearer, so we’re updating our 4+ months labels across all markets to say 6 months+.

    What this means for you...

Same tasty + nutritious food, new labels: Only the labels are changing. Our recipes remain exactly the same.

When will this be happening? You’ll start to see new labels on our 4+ month labelled products starting January 2026, with an estimated completion of March 2026. See full list of products here

Every baby is different: We know every little one develops at their own pace. If you’re unsure when to begin your baby’s weaning journey, we always recommend visiting NHS Start for Life (hyperlink from above) or chatting with your healthcare professional.

We understand this change might feel a little confusing, especially when weaning is such a big step. If you’d like to talk to us about about the changes further, we’re here to help. Chat to us!

    Recyclable packaging

As part of our mission to create a healthier world for little ones, we are in the process of transitioning to a more sustainable packaging across all our ranges, this means that the packaging will look a little different + the spout will be clear rather than coloured. The exciting news is they can now go into your recycling bin at home!

You should start to see these new recyclable pouches on shelves across all our fruity faves such as smoothie fruits, baby rice + yogurts, as well as our 3+ squishy snack ranges.

12m Veggie Pasta and Pasta Bolognese recipe + allergen change

We’re dedicated to always providing the very best ingredients and textures for your little ones, which is why we’ve updated the pasta in two of our meals.

To enhance these dishes, we’ve partnered with a new supplier to source the ideal pasta. Please note that this new pasta “may contain mustard,” so we’ve updated the allergen warning on our packaging.

You’ll also notice a ‘new recipe’ icon featured on our website and a slight design change on the front of pack to highlight the new fusilli shape that we are now using in both meals.

We hope these changes bring even more enjoyment to your little one’s mealtime!
