Generic Social Media Competition Terms & Conditions

Ella’s Kitchen (Brands) Limited

1. Promoter

The promoter is Ella’s Kitchen (Brands) Limited (the “Promoter”).

2. Eligibility

The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, its group companies, agents, suppliers and anyone professionally connected with the competition, and members of their immediate families.

3. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase is necessary to enter. Internet access and a valid social media account may be required, depending on the entry method.

4. Acceptance of Terms

By entering the competition, entrants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.

5. Competition Period

Each competition will run for the period stated in the relevant promotional communication (the “Competition Period”). Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be accepted.

6. How to Enter

Entry requirements, including the applicable social media platform(s) and entry mechanics, will be clearly set out in the relevant promotional post(s).
Unless otherwise stated:

  • Only one entry per person is permitted.
  • Only one prize per household may be won.
  • Entries that are bulk, automated, generated by script, or submitted by agents or third parties will not be accepted.

7. Prizes

Details of the prize(s) will be stated in the relevant promotional communication.
Prizes are non‑transferable, non‑exchangeable and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.

8. Winner Selection

Unless otherwise stated, winner(s) will be selected at random from all valid and eligible entries received during the Competition Period. The selection process will be conducted fairly and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

9. Winner Notification

Winner(s) will be contacted via the method stated in the promotional communication, typically through the relevant social media platform, within a reasonable period after the Competition Period ends.
If a winner does not respond or provide valid delivery details within the timeframe specified by the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and select a replacement.

10. Prize Delivery

Prizes will be delivered to UK addresses only, within a reasonable time following verification of the winner’s eligibility and receipt of valid delivery details. Winners are responsible for providing accurate information. The Promoter is not responsible for failed delivery due to incorrect or incomplete details.

11. Verification

The Promoter reserves the right to require proof of eligibility and identity before awarding a prize. Failure to provide reasonable proof may result in disqualification.

12. General

The Promoter is not responsible for:

  • entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete due to technical issues
  • network, system, hardware or software failures of any kind
    Proof of submission shall not constitute proof of receipt.

13. Moderation and Conduct

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it considers, in its reasonable opinion, to be inappropriate, offensive, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise unsuitable.
The Promoter may remove comments from its social media channels and block users who breach platform rules or these Terms.

14. Platform Disclaimer

This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with any social media platform on which it appears. By entering, entrants agree to release the relevant platform(s) from all liability related to the competition.

15. Publicity

By entering, winner(s) agree that the Promoter may use their name and county of residence for winner announcements and reasonable promotional purposes, without additional compensation, unless they advise the Promoter otherwise.

16. Data Protection

Personal data provided will be used solely for the administration of the competition and in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
Where required for prize fulfilment, data may be shared with third‑party partners or suppliers.
Entrants may withdraw consent at any time by contacting marketing@ellaskitchen.co.uk, but doing so may affect participation in the competition.

17. Changes and Cancellation

The Promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition or these Terms and Conditions where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, while taking reasonable steps to minimise any unfair impact on participants.

18. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

19. Winner Details

The name and county of residence of winner(s) may be obtained for up to 30 days after the Competition Period by emailing marketing@ellaskitchen.co.uk and specifying the relevant competition.
