Welcome to EllaCycle!

What is EllaCycle?

Our colourful handy packs are made in lots of different ways, so they need to be recycled in different ways too. Ellacycle is a super scheme to turn old Ella's packaging into new and useful things. Take a peek at our little film to find out all about it.

Pouches, snack bags + wrappers.

We use pouches because they’re handy, keep the food inside fresh and are lightweight, which means fewer lorries on the roads. But, because they’re made from a mix of materials, they need to be recycled in a special way. You can send your empty Ella’s pouches + wrappers directly to our recycling partner TerraCycle, or take them to your local drop off point and help your community!

As part of Our Dream we are committed to Ensuring all our plastic packaging is designed to be recyclable or compostable by 2024.

Yoghurt pots, toddler meals + snack trays.

Most local councils can recycle our yummy yoghurt pots + trays but not every one. So click here to find out if you can.

If you can't, come and visit us on Facebook for some clever little ways to reuse them.

Yoghurt sleeves, snack + smoothie fruit boxes.

All our card is FSC, that way we know it’s sustainably managed. Almost every local authority will collect this card for recycling. So just pop it in your recycling bin at home.

“Feeling you are reducing waste and landfill is great! There is also the big lesson in rsponsibility that the scheme can pass on to the children and their parents.”

When I grow up I want to be...

One day you might be sitting on a bench or carrying a lunch bag made from Ella's Kitchen pouches!

Our friends at Terracycle use the pouches you collect to make useful things like benches + watering cans. They even take pouches we can't use at our factories and transform them into Ella's lunch bags, which means less waste ends up in landfills.

Have you got a bright spark idea for some useful things we could make from Ella's packaging? Send us a message.
