You don't have to be a baker to whisk up these brekkie rolls.

With just a few simple ingredients, all you 'knead' is 10 minutes to prep the dough + then you can get creative with your shapes! We've suggested hearts for some luurve to start your day!

    Ingredients

    • 200g / 7oz plain flour, plus extra for dusting
    • 1 rounded teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 100ml whole milk or milk of choice
    • 2 tablespoons natural yogurt
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • serving ideas

    • Cheese, cut into fingers
    • Steamed vegetable or fruit sticks
    • Scrambled, poached or hard-boiled eggs
    • Hummus or other dip
    • Grilled tomatoes and mushrooms

    Method

    1. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl and make a well in the middle
    2. Mix together the milk, yogurt and oil in a jug, then pour in the dry ingredients. Using a fork, mix everything together until combined, then form into a ball of dough with your hands. Do not over-mix the dough or it will become tough
    3. Tip the dough out of the bowl on to a lightly floured work surface. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out until about 1xm/1/2 inch thick. Stamp out 10 hearts with a heart-shaped cutter, re-rolling the dough when needed
    4. Heat a large nonstick frying pan, with a lid, over a medium heat. Arrange the hearts in the pan (you may need to cook them in two batches) and turn the heat to a medium-low. Cover the pan with the lid and cook for 9-10 minutes, turning once or twice, until light golden and risen. Serve warm with your choice of filling or finger foods
