Full time

Senior National Account Manager (12 mth FTC), Senior Makes Deals

Purpose of role:

    • Take the lead on a large National account and own this relationship with the support and guidance of the UK Customer Controller
    • Deliver Net Sales and profit for the account you are responsible for through building strong relationships
    • Build strong relationships within our team, influence and challenge us to make the right decisions and help support us landing our ambitious growth plans
    • Gain a real understanding of your customers strategies & goals and align them to our plans
    • Create imaginative, ambitious and commercially sensible plans for your customers
    • Provide wider support when needed across the Deals (Sales) team to ensure we hit the basics with our customers and internally.

Role activities / responsibilities:

Revenue + Profit delivery:

  • Deliver to UK NSV, TI (trade investment), Contribution (profit) and Share targets
  • Ensure TI is managed effectively, making clear decisions and recommendations on sales and profit ROI improvement.
  • Help launch and ultimately manage our new revenue streams as they come to life (new brands, new categories + NPD)
  • Implement agreed Cost Price Increase in accordance with business requirements as and when needed.

JBPs:

  • Build amazing JBP’s that motivate our customers, excite our consumers and deliver the targets we set ourselves as a business
  • Identify elements of a JBP that need to be dialled up or down to achieve results, thinking not just about the next year, tying your plans to wider business objectives.
  • Use our internal tools to build bottom-up plans at a SKU level, making recommendations on investment choices
  • Own, build and continuously track the full financial P&L
  • Consider how the plans you’re building can impact the rest of the business
  • Reflect on the total channel mix of your customers in your JBPs
  • Ensure plans are delivered in a timely manner; allowing time for internal alignment/sign off whilst hitting retailer timelines

Sales fundamentals:

  • Devise, forecast and achieve NPD distribution targets.
  • Work with the Category Team to deliver relevant category management/insight to help deliver targets and be a reliable category partner for our customers.
  • Ensure all plans are aligned to our promotional strategy, BUT don’t be afraid to challenge and change if it’s the right thing to do
  • Maintain high forecast accuracy standards in your account so that we can hit total business targets.
  • Complete monthly re-forecasting cycles with our Demand Planning team, owning your number, and preparing for bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly cycles.
  • Identifying and maintaining risks and opportunities to your forecasted demand plan

Customer Management:

  • Build and manage the contact strategy for your customers (commercial, formats, commercial finance, supply chain, shopper marketing…)
  • Establish and maintain great relationships with your buyers and commercial contacts.
  • Make sure we’re the brand that challenges customers but isn’t the painful one to deal with – listen, communicate and respond to challenges in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that we are tailoring our Brand plans to make it easy for our customers to deliver them in their own way. You’ll need to achieve this by working with our Friends (Marketing) with Shoppers team (Shopper Marketing), so we can do it in a truly Ella’s way

People:

  • Lead, motivate and develop your wider team.
  • Proactively lead priorities to manage workload effectively, whilst clearly communicating with key stakeholders internally + externally
  • Lead by example; by knowing your stuff – internal goings on, numbers, our customers and the market and coach your report to do the same

You:

  • Know your stuff – internal goings on, numbers, our customers and the market

Commercial Accountant (FTC 15 mths)

Purpose

Add value to Ella’s Kitchen by working closely with the commercial finance team to ensure robust financial analysis supports commercial decision making at Ella’s Kitchen. Take responsibility for the monthly accounting of Trade Spend, including detailed analysis and management reporting on the actual results compared to forecasts. Work with the commercial team to prepare quarterly forecasts and the annual budget. Assist in preparation and submission of monthly US reporting packs.

Contract: Fixed term 15 months, full time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm

Role activities / responsibilities:

Deals (Sales) team business partnering and financial planning, including:

  • Own the trade allocations and trade spend of the Sales team with a robust understanding of current accounting standards and regulations, applicable to commercial accountancy
  • Business partner with the Sales team to generate comprehensive business plans that are aligned to commercial strategy, to facilitate effective customer trade spend to budget/forecast
  • Management of month end accruals for all trade spend
  • Own and develop trade spend dashboards in partnership with the Sales management team

Pricing

  • Complete pricing reconciliations across our different systems and ensure accurate pricing ahead of forecasts and budgets
  • Maintain and take ownership for the pricing submission template, in alignment with revenue management strategy, providing guidance and support to the Sales team as required

Reporting

  • Provide support to the FP&A Manager with monthly reporting packs including variance analysis of Net Sales and provide insights and commentary on performance
  • Design and implement internal tools including dashboards and integration systems to interact with new Global Oracle Enterprise Performance Management system
  • Support Sarbox Internal controls compliance (Sarbox), ensuring that internal control processes are in place and effectively monitored
  • Ensure that data in company systems is up to date and accurate
  • Support on internal and external financial audits, answering questions and providing supporting documentation as required
  • Provide holiday cover as required

You will need:


  • Able to work independently, with a proactive approach to problem solving and working with complex data
  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with previous commercial accounting experience, preferably in FMCG and matrix organisations
  • Excellent stakeholder management

Purpose of role:

As a key member of our Product Development (Making Yummy New Stuff) team, you will proactively search out and bring new concepts, innovation and ingredient ideas into Ella’s Kitchen to help fuel the innovation process.

Once ideas are agreed work with the Senior Development Manager on taking projects from an idea, developing them all the way to successful launch.

Role activities / responsibilities

Product development

  • Support the wider NPD team in external scouting activities, gathering ideas from external sources such as events, shows, markets, etc. for new ingredients, products, packaging, concepts and feed these ideas into the innovation process at Ella’s
  • Build relationships with wider Hain colleagues when required
  • Working with other internal functions within Ella’s Kitchen, input to the Ella’s project gate process for NPD and EPD briefs for both UK and International markets
  • Support implementation of our Product Development processes completing and maintaining all documentation throughout
  • Develop kitchen recipes with wider NPD team and Ella’s co-manufacturers, focusing on new product innovation and existing product optimisations.Recipes to be in line with Ella’s brand values, nutritional, regulatory and technical guidelines on time, to budget and to brief, utilising the Hamilton Grant System.This may require travel to co-man sites in and outside the UK.
  • Work with procurement and technical ingredients teams to ensure new ingredients fit the Ella’s Brand and Technical guidelines and are approved ahead of trials.
  • Attend and support new product development trials (as needed) ensuring finished products are right first time and are safe, legal and fully documented. Travel to co-man sites in and outside the UK will be required.
  • Hand over formulations with all documentation completed to Technical Manager & Operations for on-going supply to market
  • Help design and set shelf-life protocols with Sensory Manager and input into sensory assessment over product shelf life

Support our Communications Team

  • Recipe development for content for the website, promotional campaigns and KFH with communication on the recipes
  • Support with inhouse photo shoots- preparing recipes and styling food if required

Own our recipes

  • Be responsible for completion and approval of recipes on Hamilton Grant and that these recipes are regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure development and approval of recipes follows the Ella’s NPD process and the teams processes including generation of all supporting documentation
  • Own your portfolio of recipes for changes within our non-conformance and change control process

One Team

  • Train closely with and support Senior Makes Yummy New Stuff to rapidly upskill in areas of product development. Liaise closely with other key internal functions
  • Support and contribute to the Making Things Right Strategy and to the overall Ella’s Kitchen strategy
