Dippy Pea Guacamole

chunks of avocado can slip + slide when small hands try to pick them up. To make it easier for your little one, mash the avocado with some peas + serve the dip with veggie sticks! Go on, avo' go!

Ingredients


- 60g/ 21/4oz frozen petits pois
- 1 small avocado, halved and stoned
- 2 tablespoons lime or lemon juice
- 6 tablespoons baby’s usual milk
- A few fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped (optional)
- To serve
- 2 small low-salt soft wholemeal tortillas, cut into fingers
- Steamed vegetable sticks
Method


- Steam or boil the petits pois in a small saucepan over a medium heat for 3–4 minutes until tender. Drain, if necessary, + tip into a bowl.
- Scoop out the avocado flesh into the bowl + pour in the citrus juice + milk. Using the back of a fork, mash together until almost smooth. Alternatively, purée using a hand blender.
- Stir in the coriander (if using). Serve the guacamole with the tortilla fingers and steamed vegetable sticks for dunking.
